Dawn Lim
Burnout and Mindset Coach
As a new graduate of the Jay Shetty Certification School and a trained facilitator of Brené Brown’s The Daring WayTM, Dawn focuses her efforts on helping fellow doctors thrive. Her vision is to change the shame-based culture of medicine one powerful conversation at a time. She is particularly interested in burnout and purpose coaching for physicians, with a special interest in helping mother doctors.
Dawn is an emergency doctor at the University Health Network and an assistant professor of medicine at the University of Toronto. After experiencing her own burnout in 2012, she took a much-needed pause to walk an 800 km spiritual journey to find her way home through photography, writing, motherhood, and now as a burnout coach for physicians. Dawn believes storytelling is the most natural tool for personal growth and culture change. Her photoessays on motherhood shame and the pandemic have been supported by a National Geographic Covid grant.
