Hello there, nice to meet you!

My name is Teresa. I’m a self-proclaimed textile nerd, and I feel called to encourage, inspire, motivate, and help to support makers to realize their passions and accomplish their goals.

I have 30+ years of experience in making and selling my textile work. I formed my first crafty business in 1992 and have been making and vending ever since.

I formed Texture Clothing in 2001, and since then I have worked through burnout and had periods of intense financial stress due to unplanned debt. I have struggled with the same obstacles as many other self-employed people (inventory management, employee retention, cash flow, etc.). All of this plus the emotional ups and downs that an autoimmune disease can bring forth.

Aside from experimenting with textiles, I have spent many hours learning through reading and taking courses on subjects such as bookkeeping, marketing/social media, branding, SEO, inventory management, merchandising, and more.

My deepest desire is to scatter love and kindness into the world. I have spent years contemplating this statement that Jesus made: “Love your neighbor as you love yourself” (Matthew 22:37–39). I have concluded that in order to love others, I must keep bringing myself back to my center and do my best to create inner peace.

I genuinely want to serve my fellow makers. I believe that there is room for all to succeed. We can reach our potential by lifting each other up.
